Jaipur. Eat, drink and see.

Waltzing through the Pink City with my compadre. Here's a list of experiences that made the trip wonderful.

Eat & drink.

1. Tapri, C Scheme

Dal Pakwaan, Chai and Dabeli. Simple pleasures coupled with November's chilly morning.

2. Native Cocktail Room, Gopalbari

This bar has an interesting set of cocktails on its menu. I say interesting because they are based on star ingredients from Indian cities and states. I got the 'Apple State'.

3. Laxmi Misthan Bhandar (LMB), Johri Bazar

Legendary snack shop. Gulab Jamun, Dokhla and Aloo Tikki.

4. Lassiwala Kishan Lal Govind Narain, Mirza Ismail Road

Lassiwala is a big deal in Jaipur. The long name that follows it is a marker to differentiate the dupes that came after the original Lassiwala. Not everyone knows, but you do now.

5. Chokhi Dhani, Sukhdeopura Nohara

Unlimited Rajasthani food, unlimited hospitality. Chokhi Dhani is a village fair, this requires you to purchase passes that gives access to the said food, games and shows.

See.

1. The City Palace, Gangori Bazaar

A walk inside the City Palace compound is alright but the real treasures are inside the Chandra Mahal and the City Palace Museum. Taking a guided tour of these gives context of past and present status of structures.

2. Johri Bazar, Gangori Bazar

Johri Bazar has an excellent collection of jootis (footwear). You wouldn't find these designs online. Look out for quilted jackets, bangles and delicious gur blocks (jaggery). Parking is scarce.

3. Amber Palace, Amer
